Highlights:
This system uses one ISDN Line to connect to the base unit (Siemens Gigaset SX353) and acts as a DECT base station for connection of DECT enabled cordless phones.
With an ISDN line one can apply to Telkom for Multi Subscriber Numbers (MSN) and then one is able to assign specific MSN numbers to specific hansets. Telkom issue groups of four MSN numbers at an additional cost of R20 per group.
The Siemens SX353 can handle up to 8 mobile handsets (extensions) as well as on analogue extension (for fax or telephone handset). One can also set up three answering machines and these can take messages or leave a recorded announcement. You can even set up specific hours for receiving calls. If you are out of the office the Siemens SX353 can also forward calls on to you.
For larger homes or offices the Siemens SX353 can also have up to 6 Gigaset Repeaters connected to it thus extending the mobile talk range.
